Persons entitled to benefits
Persons residing in the Republic of Croatia realizing the proceeds of which are under the income tax basis of other income (receipts made pursuant to service contracts, royalties) and are the basis of these receipts, and in this regard paid the prescribed compulsory health insurance, acquired the status of the insured in the compulsory health insurance.

Who determines temporary incapacitation
Competent qualified doctor Croatian Institute for Health Insurance (CIHI).
How do you claim
By submitting a written request regional office CIHI competent according to the place of residence or stay of the insured, who issues a decision based on the findings, opinions and ratings competent licensed doctor.
The application shall be accompanied by:
· Medical history issued by selected medical doctors in primary health care is not older than 3 days
· Medical records of the resulting disease
· The work contract or other legal act on the acquisition proceeds on paid contributions for compulsory insurance
· Certificate (s) of the legal or natural persons of the cash receipt (receipts) that is paid to the insured in the last six months prior to the month in which the insured is unable to perform on the basis of which generate revenues and the amount and date of payment
· Confirmation of legal or natural persons from the termination or non-execution of the agreed work due to illness of the insured.
Deadlines
The application shall be submitted within 3 days of the occurrence of disease, or within 3 days of the termination reason relating to the state of health of the insured, who had in fact disabled.
Upon request, the district office CIHI indicates the insured competent qualified doctor CIHI and the Insured is obliged to report to the authorized doctor immediately or at the latest within three days.
The findings, evaluation and opinion of the authorized doctor
Findings, assessments and opinions, which makes the basis of the documentation submitted, the authorized doctor CIHI determined start date, duration, and termination of temporary disability of the insured to perform the contracted works, determining whether the resulting disease affecting the conduct of contracting with regard to the type work and limit its execution.
Solution
The decision on the insured recognizes the right to financial compensation for illness must be resolved on the amount of financial compensation and the period for which he is entitled, stating the base and percentage on the basis of which is calculated, and the tags findings, opinions and ratings of doctors authorized CIHI's temporary disability of the insured.
Cash compensation
Calculated as the average daily fee calculated on the basis of a six-day working week.
The base
Cash compensation is determined by the average basis for the payment of contributions for compulsory health insurance.
The average base is the average base insurance that is paid for compulsory health insurance in the last six months prior to the month in which he is unable to perform tasks on the basis of which generate receipts.
The amount of compensation
The fee is 70% of the average base provided that the fee can not be higher than the amount of salary compensation stipulated by the Law on Compulsory Health Insurance, or from HRK 4,257.28.
It is paid from the first day at the expense of the Health, lasting a maximum of six continuous months.
Cessation
Insured who has exercised his right to compensation, and that has stopped the status of the insured defined as a person who earns income from them according to the income tax basis of other income, is entitled to compensation up to 30 days from the date of termination of insured status.
The right to financial compensation for inability to perform tasks on the basis of which generate other receipts regulated by the provisions of Articles 44 to 48 of the Law on Compulsory Health Insurance (available on the website of the Institute, the board's legal act / laws / regulations Z1 mark) ii articles 64th to 71 of the Ordinance on the rights, conditions and manner of exercising the right of compulsory health insurance (available on the website of the Institute, the board's legal act / ordinances / regulations designation P1).
