Pediatric Surgery is youngest branch of general surgery, which is rapidly evolving, especially in the last twenty years. We could say that this whole surgery, applied to a specific age group. It is divided into various subspecialties, similar to general surgery (pediatric urology, traumatology, abdominal, thoracic, then neonatal surgery, etc.).  By separating children in general surgery and much earlier, pediatrics, internal medicine,  highlighting various declarations which emphasize the protection of children and families, particularly to enhance the protection of the child population.

The children are typical tumors that are not found in adults, the trauma of the locomotor system on which we have to think differently than adults (bone growth, possibly later limb deformities, etc.). Surgical removal of the primary tumor is the foundation of treatment for the vast majority of cancers. The logic behind this approach is clear: if you can solve the cancer simply by removing him from the body, then the cure probably possible. Unfortunately this approach does not take into account that after cancer surgery often metastasize (expand to other organs). Often metastatic return much more serious than the original tumor. In fact, for many cancers is what eventually proves fatal metastatic return, rather than the original tumor.

Surgical removal of the cancer typically provides the best chance of survival without disease.
