The current space on the 4th floor of the new hospital building, Children's department with 120 beds in 1974 moved to the development of medical studies in Split, Department of Children's Diseases in 1987 evolved into the Children's Hospital. The stationary part of the Department obuhavaća 110 beds which are distributed by clinical departments, 6 berths Day Hospital and 12 beds in inpatient mothers breastfed. In standalone department operates 28 clinics subspecijalističkih ambulance and 5 diagnostic laboratories.
As part of the clinic was organized school and nursery for sick children, clinics for mothers breastfed and milk kitchens for the purpose of conducting a special diet of infants and toddlers, as well as education of the students. Children's Hospital performs educational activities carried out over the education of students of medical schools and medical students and training of all medical personnel. The clinic carries out scientific research in its field.
Since 1983, Children's Hospital organizes and runs the Spring pediatric school. School is the organized as Tranji form of postgraduate education for all healer who participate in health care of children. With a seminar for doctors held lectures for nurses.
